A New Declaration is a declaration of principle, responsibility, and peaceful civic action.
It is not a declaration against America, nor is it intended to undermine or replace the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence of 1776. It is a declaration meant to reaffirm and remember the principles America was founded upon: liberty, constitutional government, individual rights, equal justice, and government accountable to the people.
We believe the American people have both the right and the responsibility to question abuses of power, demand accountability from those who govern, and peacefully work to preserve liberty for future generations.
This movement does not belong to a political party, corporation, religious institution, or special-interest group.
It belongs to every American willing to stand for truth, liberty, responsibility, and government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
The purpose is not to abandon the American experiment. It is to preserve it.
